This is my first blog post in a while but I thought I would take advantage of a free afternoon having already done two loads of washing, changed the blinds and put up a new curtain pole. All with the help of the hubby who is now happily watching football.
So what’s been going on…. I’ve recently started to rent a new stall within a beautiful old church in the centre of Hanley, Stoke on Trent.
Six towns antiques and vintage emporium is great, full of great stalls and also home to Elsie’s tea room which offers excellent homemade cakes, sandwiches plus a lovely cup of loose leaf tea
I’ve been running round like crazy trying to keep my stall stocked up while juggling taking charge of advertising and social media for the Emporium.
My other business Victory Roll Latex has all picked up, with orders been sent all over the world and enquiries from some lovely models who would like to represent my brand
Take a look at my Facebook page
But most importantly I have the semifinals of Miss PinUp UK to prepare for. It’s less than a month away now, I’ll be keeping you up to date with my preparations on here and on my other social media.
I’ve been approached to do some pretty exciting things which I can blog about, I just need to make some time first !

I did a previous mini blog on Miss Pin up UK and I wanted to let you know that voting has been extended until 30th June, which means there is still time to vote for me. You can do this at either Facebook or at Miss Pin Up UK
I would be really grateful for any votes I receive.
So today I thought I would give you a bit more of an insight into what I do.
I run two businesses one selling antiques & vintage clothing and the other making latex clothing.
Today I’m going to tell you about Victory Roll Vintage which is a pretty new business
I have always had an interest in antiques as my mother and father were both antique dealers along with most of our family friends. I grew up in auction houses, going to fares and watching my mum sand and wax furniture. My mother taught me everything I know and I’m extremely grateful for that. We are learning from each other all the time.
I have been selling vintage clothing on off for a number of years but now I wanted to go in to other items including small furniture. After having a look around mine and my mums attics we realised we had enough stock to start selling immediately and did our first vintage/craft fair which was at a local village we barley made the stall fee and it was the same again at our next local fare although it was torrential rain !
I then got myself a little indoor market stall which I kept going for probably four months but the rent was too expensive and just couldn’t afford to keep it on.
I was ready to give up!
But then my interest peaked again last year after going over to America to see family and then coming home and completely changing my life (I’ll save that for another blog!)
We signed up to do a bigger fare this time a flea market and we did really well. In fact we did three last summer. Now I’m not good in the cold so over the winter months I only sell online via Etsy, Ebay & Facebook.
The business is moving along lovely now, we have a high stock turn over and spend most of my time at the post office sending packages all over the world, at auctions, sitting at my computer or cleaning up furniture.
We have just done this years first summer fare and it was a success !
I’m currently working my way through over 100 items of vintage clothing, washing, pressing, photographing, pricing etc etc and these will be up on my Etsy soon. As it is looking a very bare!
Do you have an interest in vintage and antiques ? Let me know in the comments
Spending quality time with loved ones is something that is very important to me and every now and then I like to do something spontaneous.
In the UK we are having a heatwave at the moment, so when I woke up to glorious sunshine on Sunday morning I knew we had to get out of the house and make the most of the weather.
After going through a few idea’s we decided on Blackpool (I’ll never say no to the beach)
So off we went on our 2 hour journey. By the time we got there I was starving so we headed to Coral Island as they have a themed bar & restaurant called The Buccaneer, which is set in Pirate captains library. I’m a complete sucker for anything themed.
Now feeling a little full we decided to have a few goes on the penny slots, I lost all my money as usual.
We then took a lovely walk along the prom and down to the sand, luckily I had covered myself in factor 50 earlier and had my hat on as it was scorchio.
After a general wonder around we decided to hit the Pleasure Beach
As I’m not really a fan of rides we just purchased the £6 tickets so I could have a good look round. First stop was the bar as its next to the dancing water show ( my husband is obsessed with fountains after seeing the ones at the Bellagio in Vegas this year) The picture is terrible !
We also got lost in the Maze and visited Nickelodeon Land. There was so much sponge bob it was unreal!
All in all I can honestly say it was a great day out, the weather helped a lot and the company, but I’ll definitely be going back as since returning home I’ve found so many more things to do there that are free !
Here’s a final picture of me locked up & of my outfit of course.
So after much thought I decided to enter Miss Pinup UK 2017.
I thought it would be a great challenge for myself and have been wanting to get back into modelling for a while, so I thought this would be a good way to see if I’ve “still got it”
If you wanted to vote for me I have provided the link below ❤
Buying local and from small businesses is something that is very important to me, as a small business owner myself I know that every purchase no matter how small really helps.
This week I saw Wendyhouse Rocks selling these beautiful hair clips and I couldn’t resist. Postage was super fast and a cute little gift of love heart sweets ❤
Check out there other items at Wendyhouse Rocks ❤
Welcome to my blog.
I will be showing you how it is possible to get the pin up look on a budget & also be reviewing events that I attend and top buys from my favourite companies.
I’m going to spend tomorrow writing about what I got up to on my recent Vegas trip, including VLV 20, Dita plus much more
